Unfortunately, the series is rather vague in regards to skills; their acquisition, their leveling, how many you can have etc.
what we DO know is that all players start off with 2 skill slots, so that much we will keep, but as an AU, we here on SAORP have decided to implement our own system.

For every 10 levels, a new skill is gained, and after having been used continuously for 5 floors, the skill will max out, or "cap."

By the time someone reaches level 100, they should have 11 skills.

1 special skill can also be Gained in certain quests, however, these are difficult to find, let alone acquire.

"Unique skills" can also be gained in addition to the 11 standard skills and 1 special skill, however a player can only have one, giving them 13 skills total.

(Their are only 10 unique skills in SAO, but only 2 of them are known, so the others will be made up by the staff while not making any of them more powerful than the others. These will be covered in a later update.)

Summary:

-Start with 2 skills

-Max out with constant use over next 5 floors

-11 standard skill slots

-1 special skill can be acquired via unique missions, quests, and actions.

- 1 unique skill can be earned beyond level 70

-11 skills total

!All skills must be approved by a staff member before maxing out!
